The dark lighting and effect could also be used to connote the artists emotions she is trying to denote.
The faded camera shot into a point of view shot , shifts the focus point giving the audience the opportunity to see things through the artists eyes.
The dialogue before the music begins gives the audience a slight idea of the song and music videos narrative - the dialogue include beneath the music and the artist singing adds to this progressing narrative
The medium close-up shot of the artist captures her emotions , with her direct eye contact into the camera creates a direct form of address , drawing the audience in focusing them on the artist and her emotions.
There's a clear transition of past to present denoted - when the artist is lip-syncing the lyrics she is in the present but when the male is present it is clear is a reflection of the past
